Teclast F7 Plus ‘F Keys”

Hi There,

I got a new Teclast F7 Plus but I cant seem to get the shortcut keys that control the Brighness or volume working? They are  the F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7 etc. I’d liek to be able to control screen brigntness with these shortcuts. Am I doing something completely wrong?

 

Any advice is appreciated .

I own a Teclast F7 Plus for 2 years now.
All FN keys are working as expected so I’m thinking:

1. Your laptop’s keyboard keys are not working. Better check if this is working with an external/USB keyboard.
2. Your firmware is not updated.
3. Your keyboard driver is not updated.

So I done a reinstall of Windows 10 and it seems it was a driver issue. I had no bluetooth either. SO ran a driver programme to locate all drivers etc.

What I can gather is the F keys can only be used when pressing the FN key. Which is disappointing. I’d permanently like to leave them on all the time without having to use the FN key. Do you or anyone else know a method to be able to do this? Can it be updated in the BIOS or using a key combination to turn them on permanently.
