Dear respected colleagues,
I have a power-on problem with my Teclast x98 Air 3G 64 GB…
When I press the power bottom to wake it up, it fails sometimes to do the requested job.
This sometimes happens after getting fully charged…it takes quite long time till it wakes up but it startes from the dual booting option as if I powered up for the first time.
Kindly advise as it happened four to five times over the past 3 months.
Other than this, the device is functioning perfectly.
Regards,
Sherif
This is not something new as more than one person has experienced this, including myself and my wife (won’t boot during a presentation in a meeting at that, LOL!). Might be a bug in the build of the hardware.
October 1, 2015 at 2:31 pm #12309Thanks for the clarification.
Now it has been almost two days since I have been trying to wake it up with no hope.
Any other thoughts or solutions?
Thanks in advance for your support.

It didn’t work out for me..
I was advised by Chris to try something else which did solve the problem. Press and hold the power bottom for 10 seconds then press and hold it again for another 4 seconds. This really worked out with me.
Thank you and big thanks to Chris as well,
Sherif

Yes indeed we have a similar situation that calls for that combination of pressing power button and holding it down initially for 10 seconds then pressing and holding it down for a second time for 4 seconds. Must be a bug.
March 11, 2016 at 9:36 pm #28927What it does is holding over 10 seconds is a manual power off. So we know it’s 100% off. Wait about 10 seconds more. Then pressing the power button again it will power on. If not hold it again for 10 seconds and over (14 to make sure) and then charge it over night.
