January 20, 2017 at 6:57 am #60707Where can i find the pin hole acc. to step 2???
Dear Stefan,
We are sorry to hear that the tablet can not boot.
Regarding the tablet please follow these steps:
1) Charge the device for at least 6 hours and see if the device powers on normally: please try to charge using the mains AC and also via USB.
2) If this does not work, please use a needle to carefully press the pinhole-shaped hole on the side of the tablet to perform a factory reset.3) The supplier makes an energy-saving protection function for this tablet. After the power of tablet runs out and automatically powers off, the tablet automatically starts energy-saving protection function, so tablet has no response of charging and can’t be powered on.
We need long press the Power button to wake up the battery.
Please connect the power, then long press the Power button above 30 ~ 50 seconds, and recharge 10 ~ 15 minutes, the tablet can be powered on.
Once you have tried the steps above, please feel free to reply to this message if it still does not work.
We will do our best to help you for this product issue.
Please kindly review our warranty here : http://www.gearbest.com/about/warranty-and-return.html.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.Best Regards
Abia

January 31, 2017 at 7:18 pm #61301Could you please Backup your bios and attach it?
I made a Backup of mine but it’s on the internal Drive…I hate my self a bit…https://ami.com/?Aptio_V_AMI_Firmware_Update_Utility.zip
With this tool you can “Save” your bios to a ROM file. It would be very nice and I would love if you do this.
My USB Programmer arrives tomorrow and I just need the ROM.
EDIT:
Maybe I should tell you how to backup the bios easily to save you time. In this downloaded .zip file go to “AMI AFU for Aptio V/afu/afuwin/64/” and extract the “AfuWin64.zip”. Inside this zip there is a “AFUWINGUI.exe” which has to be launched with administrator privileges. It instantly Show your Systemdata and offers a “Save”-Button which saves the bios to ROM file.
February 1, 2017 at 6:08 am #61320I hope it’s what you expect!
Thanks for your help.https://actiftech.com
February 1, 2017 at 7:11 am #61348Thank you very much! I think this Little file could save me.
I noticed that I’ll Need a Level converter (1 .8V) in order to not blow the chip. It hopefully arrives the next few days. I will provide my results when I’m done.
February 3, 2017 at 7:08 am #61489I got bad news again…
I am able to connect the flash chip to the programmer but I keep just receiving zeros…
When I flash it the software tells me that the contents dismatch with the file (because there are only zeroes) and the tablet won’t boot.
I really hope I can get this thing back to work somehow
February 3, 2017 at 7:35 am #61493Did you do that before?
https://actiftech.com
February 3, 2017 at 8:06 am #61494Yes, I did and the Act LED ist actually flashing when I try to write or read. It also tells me there was a timeout if I try to write without the chip connected to the programmer, so it is finding it. But when I click “Detect” it didn’t choose a chip (I choose GIGADEVICE GD25Q64, also tried WINBOND W25Q64) and the Manufacturer Information an Capacity all showing “00”.
It pretends to write, but when reading I got all “00”. Should be “FF” if it’s erased I think…
Next step is to desolder the chip and try it again without the Mainboard connected. The Battery was disconnected while I did this btw.
February 9, 2021 at 6:21 pm #221178Hi, could you please upload again the file, it’ll be really helpful for me. Thank you in advance
