Teclast X16 Plus battery

I find the default firmware pretty buggy (tablet does not sleep at times even when screen is off), you may want to give remix os a try and see if charging and actual usage duration improves .. the battery drain in remix os for me is or less than 1% per hour when in standby.

Did you use the rom from the remix os site or from the teclast forum. A few days ago i flashed the file from teclast forum and after the initial setup the screen when black.

I used the rom from teclast forum.

On remix os, I basically encountered 2 problems:

1. SD card – my card wont stay online for long and will contribute to tablet sleeping problem. I have removed it for the time being since using one isn’t really necessary for me.
2. Turning screen off (tablet in sleep mode) – problems like speaker cackling and screen refused to turn back on will occur if the power button is pressed to put the tablet to sleep, but if the tablet sleeps naturally (after a designated not-in-use time), the above mentioned problems simply will not occur.

This tablet I believe has a few major design flaws, but for the price I got it (around $100 brand new) and for the purpose I am using it for (as a streaming video player), I can live with the problems.
