For those out there who are as unhappy with the screen and digitizer as I am; I have some good news…

My screen looked grainy, my finger felt like it was dragging on a rough surface when I drug it across the screen, and like so many others, I was having to double or triple tap to get the screen to acknowledge my touch…

Well, I have a partial solution… Change The Screen Protector! The stock/free protector we all got pre-installed is (like Gearbest, oops GearWORST) HORRIBLE! It defiantly is not as clear as clear as the replacement I just installed. The roughness is gone. And finally, the responsiveness of the digitizer is better, I wish I could say it fixed this problem but it does help and every little bit of help goes a long way.

Now finding a screen protector, at least in the US that fits is difficult, but I did find one that is close enough for me. It leaves aproximately 1mm on top & bottom, and 4mm on the left and right exposed (when held in the landscape orientation). But since these areas are well outside of the touch area, I am comfortable with this.

The Replacement pack (x3) I ordered on Amazon is here if your looking for a inexpensive fix to a couple of the many problems this device has:

Agreed with your assessment of the protector…though I would just more colourful terms…:D

Help, after a windows update, the screen lights up with some color stains clearer. I also noticed a strange rainbow reflection at a point in the display. I removed the glasses screen protector , but I have no changes. Can it be overheated? Here at home (South Italy) there are 30-35 degrees..
