I am guessing this just meant there is no updates. I do however agree the WiFi is terrible and even when it suggests it has a reasonable connection a lot of things seem to time out.

Have either of you guys tried using any mirco SD cards in Windows? As I have said a few times around here but not gotten any replies yet I can’t seem to get either of my Kingston 64Gb or 128 Gb cards to work in Windows but they work fine in Android. This seems to be the opposite to what Chris has seen in his review wheres his 64Gb works in both but his 128Gb did not work only in Android.

I have a few SD Cards. The only one to work correctly is a Samsung EVO 64Gb.

A work around for other cards is to Enable MS Custom Sdbus Driver in the BIOS under Advanced, System Component. The settings is only visible when OS IMAGE ID is set to Windows in Boot tab. Unfortunately each time you boot into Android the settings goes back to Disabled.

    • Class 4 SD cards seem to work (Class 10 SD cards I couldn’t get to detect or work reliable – some mount in Windows, but not in Android or vice versa.).
    • OTA updates seem to be broken. The latest 1.09 Android Upgrade is available here: https://yadi.sk/d/CYEkMcHut9cD5 You need to use the Intel Flashtool.
    • Wifi reception is exceptionally poor – I think the worst reception I ever had on a mobile device. I think it’s the result of a bad antenna design combined with the full metal back.

Yes wifi is bad, i did mention this in the review 🙂 I get that OTA error, I think it just means there is no update yet.

I am sure this tablet is no OTA update mode.
    Firmware only via PC.

As I understand the problem of WiFi hardware, software can not be solved.
There is a question: somebody judged the tablet?  I’m afraid to break it

Hi, i’m new to this site and forum.

I’m planning to get this tablet, but then i saw a lot of people have issues with OTA, bad wifi, and SD card problem.

OTA is fine by me, i don’t think i will update often.

For SD card i think i will use no more than 32GB, so i don’t think it will have any problem.

The biggest concern is wifi reception, as i am getting this tablet mainly for online games, with bad wifi it won’t be a pleasant experience.

Does anyone have information regarding issues above, is it fixed ?

    Thanks.
