Teclast x80hd – Removing Android, updating to 64-bit W10

Hello,

 

I have a Teclast X80HD tablet. Unfortunately, it was shipped with 32-bit Windows 10. I would like to reinstall Windows 10 as 64-bit and remove Android.  However, I don’t want to brick my device.

My questions are:

1. If my Windows installation goes bad somehow, is there a way to redo it? I see the system has BIOS but I just wanted to make sure Windows didn’t do something really weird with UEFI (which I’m inexperienced in.)
2. Are there 64-bit drivers available for my tablet? The SoC is 64-bit. If sound or video doesn’t work on 64-bit, I may as well stick with 32. The tablet has the same SoC as the Teclast x80h (Z3735F) so I would assume I can just use those.
3. How to find said drivers? The drivers link on this site is dead (http://techtablets.com/teclast-x80h-dual-os/downloads/). Or will Windows automatically install them?

 

Thanks, I greatly appreciate the help. I have honestly tried and can’t find much about this tablet (or the x80h) on the web. One of the perks of buying cheap gear!

Hi all,

did someone manage to do that? Unfortunately I’m past “is it safe”, because I have already wiped my Android and I have wiped something related to Windows and I now longer can access the tablet in any form.

I’m trying to flash fresh Windows, however I cannot get the usb to boot with Win10 32bit. Anyone can help with that?

BIOS finds the usb but the screen just flashed and returns me to the BIOS.
