Hello guys. I have Teclast X98 Air 3g, C9J7 (dual boot), one of first batches that has come from China, and i’m facing a strange problem. My GPS is not working!
I tried several GPS status apps on Android, and neither one is receiving any signal. GPS is turned on, but no signal is visible in app. I duplicated experiment on my phone (LG G3) with same app, and as soon i started app, it keeps “seeing” satellites and receiving signals. On tablet there is not slightest hint of signal. I also tried with AGPS, but no help. Tried several different ROMs: original Teclast KK; Mireks 5.1 (KK); 6.1 and 7.0 (LP), but no GPS signal on any of them.
On Windows 10 same thing: GPS is recognized, driver is loaded (also tried several different drivers), but no GPS signal. When checked with sensor diagnostic app, all other sensors are working, but on GPS sensor tab it states “initializing”.
Also tried several different BIOS versions: 1.03 original, 1.03 first dual boot BIOS, 2.02, 2.05 – but no help. No GPS signal on any of them.
One thing i noticed on 1.03 first dual boot BIOS (one with much greater options set!) is that on one page, next to the GPS field it states “disabled”, but that field is not editable! I don’t know how come my GPS became “disabled”, because i’m pretty sure that GPS worked before. I didn’t tested it extensively, but i tried it with Google Maps and some GPS apps, and it worked well.
Please guys, share some ideas because i desperately need GPS and it suddenly stopped working!
