    Can you post more info about the causing USB OTG adapter? At least, we can try to prevent it from happening to other people planning to use/using the same adapter.

    Banggood sells it and it’s also available from Aliexpress. Chris owns one too.

    What happened to me is that the hub malfunctioned. If you connect the USB hub to the tablet it produces a very short click.  At one point the click repeated so quickly over and over again that it turned into a buzz. It lasted one or two seconds until I broke the connection but is was to late. The charging circuitry of my Teclast was fried and I was not able to charge it anymore whenever the tablet was turned on.

    There were no warning signs. It worked fine until it fried my Teclast. It still works fine with my Chuwi Vi8 and Raspberry PI although I haven’t used it a lot afterwards.

    Thanks! I just have a simple OTG USB hub which can’t charge the tablet, so I’m probably ok. Too bad your OTG USB hub fried your tablet though. I hope somehow that can be fixed.
