I had to because I had accidentally deleted a partition when trying to free up some space for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (the upgrader required 20 Gigs of free space) and Android would not boot afterwards. The process itself was relatively easy, but first I had to install Intel® Platform Android Driver v1.10.0, iSoc USB Driver v1.2.0 and Intel® Platform Flash Tool Lite v5.5.2.0, then download the Android v5.1 and Windows 10 x64 image files for the Teclast x98 Plus II from Google Drive (you can find the download links somewhere on this Forum).
When everything is downloaded, installed and extracted, you have to boot the tablet simultaneously pressing down the Vol Up + Vol Down + Power buttons and connects it to your PC (you will need a USB hub for connecting a keyboard simultaneously). The flash Tool is very intuitive, I won’t go into details. When Android was restored, I copied the Win10 files to a 16GB pen drive (FAT 32 formatted!). Booted up the tablet pressing F7 on the keyboard and made the tablet boot from the pen drive. After that, it was only a matter of time till status quo ante bellum would have been completely restored. Then I installed the Anniversary Update and everything works just fine.
The tablet is as good as new, the only difference I’ve noticed is that the original version had UC Browser pre-installed, the new one has a “Browser”. I disabled both, so it is not a big deal. BTW, there several quite useful and informative videos on YouTube describing various phases of the above procedure. Good luck!

September 7, 2016 at 7:03 pm #49132Josh –
I just received my C2D6 yesterday, and simply running the built-in OTA updater to update the firmware on it seems to have bricked the Android side. I was able to successfully recover Android this morning, and I’m now working on restoring the Windows 10 side (as re-flashing Android seems to remove the Windows boot configuration – maybe files as well).
Teclast’s official files for recovery are at this link: http://www.teclast.com/tools/pad/pad.php?t=p
Type in your model (C2D6) and the links should come up. Make sure your using Chrome or a browser that can translate the language…
You’ll be forwarded over to the list of files on the Baidu site. I wasn’t able to get around creating an account and then using their download manager to grab the larger ones…
I was able to successfully download the Android recovery files, fire up the utilities mentioned in the PDF (also in Chinese – I uploaded it to Google Translate to help), and then run the Android recovery process. When I tried the OTA update again after recovery, it seems to have worked fine.
I’m now working on recovering Windows 10. Baidu’s download speeds are terrible though, so I’m still waiting on the Win10 RAR files to come down.
Painful process, but hopefully things will be working when I’m done. Hope this helps!
September 7, 2016 at 9:01 pm #49138Thanks! Have you figured out how to repartition qnd remove windows? I really don’t have much use for it

September 9, 2016 at 4:22 am #49296I am having the same boot problem after anniversary update and debating whether I really want to recover Android, as I have plenty of Android devices and who cares of 5.11 🙂
I bought this primarily for reading PDFs. On W10 I have my fav readers Sumatra and Xodo. Xodo is available on Android and the version is slightly ahead of W10…hence the dilemma.
Anyway, I am writing to share that I did manage to boot into Android once (and only once, no boot selection just straight into Android) after messing with the quiet boot/boot priority options in the BIOS… hell but it could just be a coincidence as I cannot reproduce it. And switching back to Windows is how I lost access to Android the second time. I seemed to recall having similar issues with dual boot win8 and linux long time ago. Could not remember how that was solved unfortunately.
PS. This is C2D6. Wifi was a bit buggy (disconnect, flight mode wifi both on simultaneously) prior to anniversary update (android seems to be fine), otherwise I did not experience range issue like some reviews said.
September 9, 2016 at 5:03 am #49298ok, seem to have found a work around… I am really reluctant to reinstall OS/firmware. Spent too much time on installations already since I received this tablet on Wednesday.
Went like this:
1) volume+/- and pwr into fast boot mode
2) wait a few minutes and stuck on fast boot screen
3) turn it off and on again… voila – booted into android.
September 9, 2016 at 9:28 am #49310Hi Guys,
I have Teclast X98 Plus II (C2D6) model which i bought recently and I’ve used the OTA update tool pre-installed on android for two times, the first update went fine and updated the OS to android 5.1.1, the second one cased a freeze when booting to android with Teclast logo stuck on screen, but windows is still working fine. Please help.
September 10, 2016 at 6:21 pm #49404I got the same issue. You need to reflash the stock Android and execute the OTA update once only.
A few post before, you have a download link to get all the tools and the ROM image as well as a PDF guide. On my side, i have a Asus RT-AC87U router which is probably one of the best available so far. Compare to my Cube Talk 9X U65GT, the Wifi of my Teclast X98 plus 2 C2D6 is really crap.
I wonder if someone already tried to fix the antenna inside or so ?September 10, 2016 at 6:36 pm #49406Thanks Mauro for your reply. I started the process of flashing android already without any success yet. Tried to follow the step-by-step pdf but the intel flashing tool gives error. I’m not sure if I’m missing something here, maybe how to set the tablet into flashing mode? Thanks again.
September 11, 2016 at 5:40 am #49433If the error you receive is that the tool cannot reboot your tablet, it means that you are trying to update only the Android partition which is only working if Anroid is able to start and you are passing through the debugging system of it. In your case (and mine), as Android is completely crashed, you have to do a recover flash, not an update one, which will erase Windows as well.
