“Problem” solved, back in bussinessThe problem was my Hackintosh(Yosemite) so I plugged it into my chromebook (thought I had done that before, but no) and the device is recognized. So rooted again, everything working well

Can you explain, how you root the tablet?

Same question, I have tried many methods, none have worked.

At your service

Download this and this file credits spzjulien
If you're gonna use windows download this adb file wich contains disable-verity credits casacristo
Download this TWRP file credits Dani Basabe
Download SuperSU from here credits Chainfire

Window users: in the rootonly V2.0 replace the adb.exe with the one you downloaded

First off all type in a terminal
adb root
adb disable-verity
adb reboot

When rebooted type
adb root
adb remount

Now run the file root.bat for Windows users or
open the root.bat file and copy/paste from adb wait-for-device to adb reboot

If you want some tweaks added open root and tweak V3.0 and find/open the file build.prop.tweak
pick your tweaks from line 98 (# More RAM) till the last line, be carefull what you choose!!

reboot, ignore the binaries message!

reboot into DNX-mode (Vol+ Vol- Power together)
type fastboot boot (path to your TWRP folder) loader.efi
or the easy way

type fastboot flash recovery (path to your TWRP folder) /the TWRP img file
reboot into recovery

Install via TWRP the downloaded SuperSU (2.76) you downloaded credits tripper22
Touch doesn't work, you have to use a mouse!!
Reboot and enjoy your rooted device

Edit: almost forgot, you can backup with TWRP but when I did a restore my tablet just hung at the second Teclast screen!!
You are warned!!

I changed my boot.img (ro.secure=0). I was stubborn, thought it wasn’t necessary because everything is working well.

It solved the hang after a TWRP restore. It just starts like it should!!!

So now you can use TWRP backup/restore without any problem.

Here you can find the modified boot.img file

Has anyone been able to use a USB GPS with Android on the plus II?

Found answer to the above after I submitted.

Using PL2303 GPS Mock Location Provider, my Columbus V-800 GPS was able to work with Google Maps.

I also found that it works with Here Wego even though it flashes ‘waiting for gps’ regularly.

The external gps seems better than the internal gps in my other tablets as it updates more frequently. So instead of saying it is 200M, 175M, 150M to the turn it is often showing 5M increments.

Maybe a working Wifi fix! Testing
Hey guys, after the well known wifi issues / dropout®s I®m still testing the following driver and registry hack on Win10. First check if you have the original Driver version 3008.28.201.2016 date 22.02.2016 installed. Then regedit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318}\000X (X may be one of 0 / 1 / 2
) Search for and change the value of bLeisurePs from 2 to 0. Then disable and re-enable the wireless interface in Device Manager. The bLeisurePs = 0 should stop the driver to go into idle mode. Maybe thebattery is more needed? But till now it seems that the WiFi is working without dropouts. Still testing a view more days. By the way, Is your Speaker volume on Win10 to low. Try the Intel HD Audio driver of Microsoft®s Surface 3. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=38826 Yes, that will work and boost your Volume. ? As always do it on your own risk. Greetings from Germany Alex

Can you upload driver to audio i can not find on there with that link. I like to have higher volume.

I have a related question on a C2D4. OTA for Android upgrade never completes.

Where can one find the files so that the upgrades can be performed using a file instead of OTA?

Mine did finish, only took more then a day 🙁

Ran the update and guess what, it failed!!

Said the update was for a Plus II (C2D4) and that I have the Plus (C2D4). So waiting for an update that won’t work is rather useless.

YouÄșl find my link to the original files in this thread. (V1.05). Just search 🙂

Here my fixes so fare.

– Wifi: Best Driver + reg hack (can still drop signal but much less)
– HD Audio: Drivers from MS Survice3 makes our x98PlusII louder on Windows 10.
– Time Fix: reg hack will fix the time issue (edit your Timezone before)

Have Fun.
