Hello all
Just received my X5 PRO and I’m still personalizing it to a smooth usage. One thing that has been cracking my head is about the touchpad. I long time forgot the use of a mouse so the touchpad is my elected interactivity interface device mainly because of my regular work travel life. Nevertheless I can’t find on W10 any further touchpad settings than a simple sensitivity choice. In my previous laptops I manage to have extra settings using synaptics software. The same seems to me impossible to install adding those precious extra settings to a personalized use. One particular annoying situation is the impossibility to disable the “tap-to-click” function and once I find the touchpad rather sensible, even with a low sensitivity option on in W10 settings, it is to me almost impossible to use because the smallest light touch on the pad surface, easy retrieves the left-click function which is extremely annoying and unpractical.
Another important and also annoying outcome regarding the touchpad, is the gesture using two/three or four fingers. Two fingers is used to zoom out/in so every time I use the touchpad left/click button once my other finger is touching the pad surface it zooms it (up or down) quite commonly, disrupting the normal usage.
So after the above explanation, I would like to ask the forum if you know any 3rd party software as synaptics that can add the needed extra functions of the pad. I tried to instal synaptics ps/2 software hopping it could be compatible with the hardware and although it accepted the drive install and performe normally, couldn’t retrieve the extra tab on mouse settings with the desired improved functions.
Any suggestions to fulfill this gap?

October 4, 2017 at 4:28 pm #72989Hello Nicolas
Thank you for your reply. My objective is to disable the tap-to-click on my touchpad as it is annoying every time I move my finger on the pad it displays a lot of functions that I want avoid such accidentaly minimizing and closing windows; zooming and so on.
Synaptics has a lot of settings but it seams I cannot install it once the extra mouse settings tab doesn’t appear. I believe it is not compatible.
do you have any idea How to achieve this?
