The only way to know for sure would be to clean install windows 10.
February 18, 2017 at 8:13 pm #62426And reset the bios.
February 19, 2017 at 10:15 am #62455So yeah, reinstalled windows, reset all settings to default, including bios and the problem is still there. It was present even during windows instalation, so pretty sure now its a hardware problem. But sending it back to gearbest and waiting for replacement will take ages.. Does anyone have any idea if replacing just the digitizer would solve this? Or can it be lcd display problem itself? And can anyone confirm for sure that i7 stylus, i7 book and mix plus all use same display? Cause i could only find digitizer replacement for i7 stylus.
February 19, 2017 at 11:00 am #62460All reports so far would suggest it’s the same screen. Get Gearbest to send you a free one.
February 19, 2017 at 11:45 am #62461that would be great, but problem is i can find digitizer replacemenet on other shops like aliexpress or banggood, but gearbest doesnt have that item, so i doubt they would send me one lol. I wrote to support, awaiting reply now. Anyone have any expirience with gearbest support? Are they usually willing to help or just trying to avoid any responsibility?
February 21, 2017 at 8:51 pm #62555I think I could sort of reproduce this in my mix plus, but only while doing some gestures that I’m not sure of. If I held my finger steadily, it wouldn’t happen.
February 21, 2017 at 9:18 pm #62560No need for any gestures, you can see that digitizer registers ghosts touches on the right edge of the screen, all you need to do is apply a very small amount of pressure in the middle area of screen. Best i could get from gearbest, is 30usd refund, or send it back and get a new one in like 2months. Really ridiculous, replacement digitizer alone costs more than 30usd, and its their damn fault for shitty quality control, tablet was damaged on arrival. For anyone intending to buy would recommend looking elsewhere.
