Good afternoon. I am addressing those who have already encountered the installation of a trellis roof. Visually and in catalogs, this solution looks very interesting: you can play around with the design of the site, add shade, and create a pleasant place to relax. But so far, there is no understanding of how it looks in practice. Where can such structures actually be ordered, which companies are involved in this, and how much do the prices differ? I am also concerned about delivery and installation: is it possible to order from a large manufacturer with installation in another region, or is this always done only through local companies? I am interested in which materials ultimately perform better over time ( metal, wood, or composites) and how much maintenance they require. Separately, I would like to understand whether there are any difficulties with permits or approvals if we are talking about a capital option rather than a decorative one. If anyone has already purchased a trellis roof and has been using it for some time, please share your experience of how it has lived up to your expectations and how convenient it is to use in everyday life.

It cost about the same as a good wooden pergola, but it requires almost no maintenance, just occasional cleaning to remove dust. It looks very stylish, but of course it doesn’t protect from rain; it’s more of a decorative feature. If protection is important to you, it’s better to look at other solutions.

They have a section on trellis roofs, and that’s what convinced me that this is an interesting option. Essentially, it is a structure that is both decorative and functional: it adds architectural accent, but can also be equipped with motorized louvers. I haven’t finalized the price yet, but they promise quick installation, especially if you choose a modular solution. I think this is an excellent alternative to classic veranda extensions, and in the future, I will definitely install such a system to turn my backyard into a more stylish and comfortable space.
