Hi. I have been happily using my cube i7 stylus for a little more than a month, with not as much as a dent on it. The tablet lives up to the reviews made by techtablets, but then something weird occurred. Indsted of turning my tablet off, I just put it to sleep in order to save power, because I would be using it again in 30 minutes. But then something strange occurred. I could not turn it on again. I press the power button, and the little lamp light up, but nothing happens on the screen. This was of course frustrating to me, because I had no idea what could had gone wrong. I searched around on the net, and learned that it could possible be that the tablet goes in such a deep sleep mode, that it can not be turned on again, and the solution is to just let the battery drain until the device turned of by itself, then recharge and turn it on. Now my following questions is this: 1. Is this a problem cube has, or is this a risk for all tablets? 2. Is there a faster way to get it back to work? 3. What is the risk of this happening? Since I don’t think I will use the sleep mode function with the tablet after this bullshit. 4. Should I just avoid using the sleep option generally? I hope you can help me clear this up. thanks.
Hello Jonas,
You perhaps can revive your tablet in another way, but will it be quicker? You can give it a hardware reset like this: Near the on/off knob there is a little hole for the reset. You put a paperclip in it for about 30 seconds and keep -not too hard- pushing all this time. Then you take away the clip and push the on/off knob. Wait for some seconds and the tablet will -very probably!- reset. But… it goes back to its initial state so you’ll have to reinstall your own stuff.

I have waited for 3 days now, so I think I will wait for the battery to drain this round. But good to know if it happens again.
But I was also wondering how many have had this problem before. Is this a normal or anormal thing for tablets in general, or is this a cube issue? Should I just avoid using the sleep mode option?
I have very little experience with using tablet, which is why I ask.November 5, 2016 at 8:52 pm #56451Anonymous

I do not know how many have had this problem before… What becomes evident, however, while following the commentaries of the Cube i7 Stylus owners is that one should not expect much of this tablet and I am afraid that the same thing goes for cheap chinese tablets in general.
I have myself experienced strange things with *my tablet*, I have two times done a hardware reset, tried to install a alternative bios and better drivers and to no avail. I even opened up this tablet in order to replace the too small (64GB) ssd by a bigger one. I was unable to rightly close the thing afterwards so now it still works but I have damaged the tablet at 2 places, etc.
I have decided not to try to make the device better any more. I don’t think it is worth all the effort. I learned from this that only about a thousand of dollars can get you a honest slate or hybrid. Tant pis.M. -
