So I got my phone a few days now and have playing around with it, really nice phone for the price. Just paid 180 USD for it.
Though the phone is pretty big almost at the limits how big I think a phone should be. So its important that the companies being honest from the beginning about the size of their devices.
It seems very common that chinese companies lies a bit about the dimensions and weight for their devices. It was same story with the Cube i9 and Chuwi Hibook, both weight more than the official specs.
Well I decided to use my digital calipers only to find out that the phone was around 1 cm thick/fat, not 0,85 cm, and the weight was 196, not 185 grams.

So seems like chinese companies loves to deceive their customers a bit when it comes to dimensions and weight, or they dont think its important to be honest about this, that no one will notice or care.

Mine is currently shipping. I will be able to tell more when I get it.

There are a lot of so said reviews around, from people who don’t have the device yet.

I wouldn’t bother these small size and weight differences. I’m rather interests in the battery life and overall stability. Because I bought my first Chinese tablet 3 weeks ago.The battery life is terrible and the android system randomly reboots.

So I hope the phone will be more stable.

Can’t comment on this Super model as I don’t have it, but the Umi Touch I have for it’s $130-$140 price tag isn’t bad, one other thing is the 4000mAh battery doesn’t last like other 4000mAh batteries like the Redmi Note 3 Pro for example. So I question if the size really is 4000mAh. Apart from the that UMI touch (very similar to the Super) has a very stock rom that is super quick, it’s crazy fast and light too. The build for the price is also great. The worse part is the camera is very slow. But UMI does push out lots of OTA updates that helps.

Now I’ve just finished reviewing the LeTV LeEco LE 2, really nice build that is more fitting of a $500 dollar mobile, not $200. It’s also very fast, other good brand I think for less.

But of all the Chinese mobile brands I’ve reviewed, I would stick to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 3 Pro has really good battery life, a decent camera, and the build is top notch. My Mi Max I recently got has 5 days of battery life, but it is a massive 6,44″ phone wit ha 4850 mAH battery.

The represents of Umi is horrible, I wrote a post about the size of the Umi Super being wrong on the official forum and I got banned and got my post deleted for it, and mods making up lies that I have not been banned..
    You can see it here:
    http://community.umidigi.com/thread-3376-1-1.html
    https://gyazo.com/6de0e05b98001097ac35ad3cfd1e92ec

And seemlingly it doesnt seems I am the only one getting banned or get their posts deleted, seems like this is a widespread phenomena.

This is giving UMi a really bad reputation. They dont seems to care about customer support and no one is allowed to come with fair criticism.
Someone should really contact a higher up representative of UMi and tell them what is going on.

This post got me banned and the mod is lying, I only made one post and I got banned for it and had my thread deleted:

I currently have problems with the wifi, turning off by itself after a while though it says it is still on, so I have to inactivate the wifi on the phone to get it to work again.
I guess I wont get any help from UMi to solve that problem.

What the hell, so they ban you for posting the truth! That is absurd.

All you can hope for now is to cross your fingers for an OTA fix. My UMI touch had like 6 OTA updates, which was a bit over the top but at least they are fixing some bugs.

Made a new thread just now linking the documentation I have done to this site so people can see how UMi is treating their customers:

Typical way of dealing with issues in China…
