Hey guys
I been just trying to desperately fix my insanely slow wi-fi on my Chuwi Hi12 Dual OS, without any success. Brb. It has been like this since the first day I received the tablet.
I get transfer speeds of about 1mbit (at best) at speedtest.net (up- and download). Usually in the 350-500 kbit range.
Wifi speed on the local network is the same. It’s driving me crazy.
I uninstalled the network device and reinstalled the driverĀ Used old drivers from Chuwi. Didn’t help. Used the latest ones. Still slow.
Googled for hours to improve and fine tune Win 10 network settings. Nothing helped.
Reinstalled all Chuwi drivers from scratch. No change.
Here comes the intriguing part: When I boot to Android 5.1 all works well. I get speeds on wifi around 35-40mbit easily (both ways – I’m on a 1gbit network).
So my conclusion is it can’t be an hardware issue, it must be some sort of software issue.
But I don’t know where to look anymore.
Any ideas?
June 2, 2016 at 12:31 am #39554Are you using any Bluetooth device with the tablet(mouse/keyboard/headphone)?
If you are, try turning off Bluetooth and test the speed of wifi.
It was mentioned that hi12 use 1 antenna for both Bluetooth and wifi.
June 2, 2016 at 1:05 am #39555randula is right…don’t use the bluetooth.
June 2, 2016 at 9:00 am #39581ok, turning off bluetooth brings the speeds up to 3-5mbit, which is still very slow but already 10x faster… a tablet with win 10 but without the possibility to connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse is utterly pointless, but I guess that’s another discussion (yea I know you can buy dongles… but I’m not buying tablets for mobility to end up sticking dongles in every hole).
I get the 1 antenna problem mentioned in this forum… but how is it possible that I get 40mbit on Android WITH BLUETOOTH on the same single antenna? does not make sense to me. can’t be a hardware problem only in my world… please correct me if I’m wrong! or let me say it this way: if the antenna under win 10 would be working just like under android 5.1, I wouldn’t have absolutely any issues.
October 30, 2016 at 4:32 pm #56126I have the exact same problem with my Hi10plus. The wifi is very slow on Windows and works way faster on Android. Have you found any solution?
