    I have tried several times to create an USB boot disk (Ubuntu) using the description in the Chuwi user group tutorial section. I have also tried other builds, and other types of SW to create the USB disk (Rufus) but all the time I end up with a blank black screen and “_” character  in the upper left corner. The bios is updated to the latest version.   Are others having the same problem? ??

    Annoying that one need a keyboard for booting option. I need to find a USB hub…

    I have the same issue, with a blank black screen and “_” character  in the upper left corner

    gpegckv over at forum.chuwi.com have made a little guide on how to boot Ubunto 16.04.2 on Hi13

    I have tried it, its working, but i haven’t been abel to install it on the eMMC or USB 3 HDD
