I know what your problem is.
The USB port on portable devices like your Teclast X98 Air provides a minimal amount of power.
Typically, this is only enough power to run a flash drive or something similar.
I’m sure the devices you are mentioning are drawing more power than the tablet is providing.
However, there is a simple solution to your problem.
You need to buy a powered USB hub. Connect your Teclast X98 to one port and the devices to other ports.
The devices will draw the power they need from the hub’s power supply and the X98 will be able to connect to the devices as well.
July 22, 2015 at 2:36 am #7324thank you for your reply but with one part i forgot to mention is it does work one off. can it still be a power issue?
if i do require a powered USB hub that deceives the reason i brought this tablet as i brought it to update my portable devices on the go without carrying a bulky laptop around when i was travelling.
July 23, 2015 at 3:54 pm #7384Hi,
Randy is spot on , i have a usb + otg hub + charging all together at once, it works with my external HD, pen drive and wireless keyboard, but i have one problem that this otg needed to be force shutdown in windows and restart to operate, and charging will either maintain or decrease the charge.i guess it is more for phone than tablet. However i have bought from alibaba i got it from Chris’s youtube on the otg. that could be better and it shows the cable size does have some difference, that being said, i will update to see it really works. you can watch in the youtube click the link. hope this this will help. It is a must if you need for your work.
July 24, 2015 at 7:09 pm #7413thanks for the responses guys. i have ordered a Y cable OTG i hope that will do the trick? as i need this to be mobile if that don’t work i will have to buy a hub or change tablets to a MS surface. i will be updating this again once i have tried it.
October 2, 2015 at 1:36 am #12366I have now solved this issue it was a weird cable issue. I’m using two diffent cables for these two devices to work. One is a thick usb cable marked ” hi speed usb revision 2.0 shielded 28 AWG/1PR+24AWG/1PR+24AWG/2C E164535 D”
For the pogo I’m using a cable that corn with my canon digital camera. I don’t known why this works like this but it does.
