well, I macgyvered it out courtesy of of two very tiny paper clips, needle nose pliers to bend one to a very slight L as gripper, the other to wedge on the far side(thanks God the Chinese aren’t good on tolerances), pulled it up enough to expose it, swiss army knife small blade hooked card and popped out, which is how I extracted the 64GB card BEFORE I had that tingling about the gentouch’s card slot.

The gentouch just had even way worse tolerances so it was possible to shove the card right inside of the casing where it rattled around, fortunately this wasn’t as bad.

The gap on mine is between the screen side and the ‘bottom’ side of the tablet. I guess that I just got lucky on the first card insert.

It’s still apparently electrically/mechanically intact as the springs worked(first hint of you missed the slot, no usual spring resistance to card insertion, but see above I figured cheap card slot and the springs had already broken) and upon power up, no magic smoke, no abnormal heat, and the card was readable/writeable.

At this point I’m thinking best to just cut my losses and not even try cracking open the case as murphy will probably strike then releasing the magic smoke, cracking the display, or some other nastiness.
