Thanks I’ll give it a shot and report back
May 23, 2016 at 8:37 pm #38399well no luck, the sound keeps coming and going.
At times the level is good then it just goes down. Quite annoying
May 23, 2016 at 9:15 pm #38402In the bios audio has AHCPI or PCI mode. What is the difference? On my tablet it is set to AHCPI,
May 23, 2016 at 9:31 pm #38406Things have gone worse, now I only have statics on the speakers and earphones.
I plugged in a usb dac and get great sound from it… also now volume keys put the tablet to sleep…<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”> </span>
May 24, 2016 at 2:11 pm #38473I’m pretty sure it’s a bad unit. You’ll have to return it. Ask your shop for a replacement.
I’m sorry.
May 24, 2016 at 2:31 pm #38474I thaught so also, I sent a message to banggood last night but no reply
May 24, 2016 at 4:27 pm #38483I read on another forum that the issue could be the speaker cable that is disconnected. I’ll wait for banggood to answer, il they don’t take it in theire care I’ll open it up.
May 24, 2016 at 4:44 pm #38487I hope it’s only a disconnected cable. Please let us know 🙂
May 24, 2016 at 4:56 pm #38488No problem. As soon as I have the info i’ll post it in this thread
May 25, 2016 at 9:16 am #38541Light at the end of the tunnel… After advice on, the chuwi forum, i unistalled the audio drivers and the audio controler drivers and rebooted, Windows replaced the ones written in chinese with french ones and tada, sound is back.
The odd thing is that it gave me back the sound on android as well; It seems android on this tablet is emulated threw Windows and uses Windows drivers.
May 25, 2016 at 10:43 am #38548Interesting. Anyway glad you resolved 🙂
May 29, 2016 at 12:10 pm #38995The sound is off again, it is very low. I tried a fix given on the hi10 thread, installing apo and peace. It seems to work but I can’t really tell as I don’t trust the tablet now. It may go off anytime.
Anyway, just to say, don’t buy from banggood, theire aftersale is really a big lot of BS, they never answer. I have sent at least 6 messages asking for a rerurn and refund and all I got was a lousy mail saying to factory reset. Since then no news… I ordered a hi10 from gearbest before seeing the con about not powering external drive. It took gearbest only a few hours to cancel and refund the hi10 so guys out there avoid banggood and go for gearbest.
It seems I am stuck with this faulty tablet
