Is anyone having issue with getting the Vi10 to mount more than one partition from an External SD card?
I have, for now, a 16gb card that I was using on an older tablet. It was split in 2 partitions for use with Link2SD, first Part was Fat32 second was ext3 and all was fine.
I tried using this in my Vi10 and it would not show any partitions. I’ve spent weeks now reading everything I could find. I’ve wiped and reformatted the card a dozen different ways. Have even tried manual mount commands and scripts.

If I leave as 1 Fat partition it mounts fine in android and win. If I make it one ext3/4 partition it mounts fine in android but obviously not Win.
As soon as I partition the card into 2 partitions though android will refuse to mount the fat partition although Link2SD mounts the ext3 part without issue.
I really would like to have both partitions seen under android as I like to have downloads on external so I can access it from my desktop or even from within Win on the Vi10

I also know there is an external SD issue with write permissions. I’ve already done that fix which didn’t change anything for this. Also I’m using an SD tool under Android which will show that mmcblk1 has a mmcblk1p1 and 1P2 but says that 1p1 is not mounted and shows no formatting

Thanks in advance for any help.

So there is no way to move apps on Android to Micro-SD card?

Tried making sure both partitions are primary?

(haven’t checked sdcards myself yet; it could also be unsupported by the kernel/ramdisk)

I finally gave up with trying to have both partitions of the SD show under Android.

My current config is 16Gb SD partitioned as 5Gb Fat 32 mounted under Win 10 and 11Gb ext3 partition mounted invisibly in Android for the Link2SD App from the marketplace. I use this to move/install apps to the external SD

    Works great

Interesting, but I thought link2sd needs the ext partition as swap use? and all valid data would be on the fat32 partition? Do you have a run down of exactly what you’ve done to successfully be able to install apps to the SD?

    TIA.
