Excellent – thanks for that, just one tip, not sure how I did it but I ended up installing the OS switcher incorrectly and had it shut down and switch to Android on every boot before I could log in. So I couldn’t stop it doing it!

To fix it (and I’m sure there is an easier way) I had to go to the recovery screen and select command prompt and delete the OS switcher files!

    Thanks again BTW!

Hi All, looks like these are the older ones, can you tell me how you did it and I’ll get the newer ones from baidu and share them for others?

    Thanks, Dave

These are the latest ones listed. Were posted on the 16th. Not made a difference to my needs unfortunately. To download from baidu. I downloaded the weibo app on android and registered an account. Then there is a scan QR option in the app. When presented with the QR code when trying to download scan with the weibo scan QR and it will log you in and start the download.

Ahh great – I’ll investigate this later on, It seems that the ones in the link above are the ones we need, As far as I can tell they have gone from a Realtek wireless card to a Broadcom one and I think this is the one we need. I’m out for the next few hours but as soon as I’m back I’ll get on it! I’ll post my findings here – if it isn’t done before that by someone else 😉

    Hey guys,

I seem to be in the same boat as you good people so I’ll join in this discussion.

I have a 221509xxxx serial number too. Same sort of story updated to win 10 and have lost my Touchscreen. Thanks for posting these files I really thought I was on to a winner when I saw these. Unfortunately I still can’t get it working. I do have working WiFi though which is strange. I have tried all the tricks so far posted on this site. Manual installs, using the applications. Various ways I can think of.

I thought this would solve it. When I uninstall all corresponding drivers in Device Manager and then reboot it comes up with MY12C device as failing to start. If I use these new drivers the problem remains when I install all ways I know how. But I would guess they are the correct ones. Ironically if I install the older KDMF HID Minidriver then Device Manager seems content, but the device still doesn’t function.

I keep playing with it but I am not sure I am going to solve it! Consider me subbed though!

Yay, mine is fully working. I’ll post what I think made the difference in a second.

Remember I didn’t have any trouble with Wifi so perhaps I have a mixture of the newer and older hardware.

Ok I ran the dpinst32 in the TP Folder of the posted S165C. Not sure this had any effect at all to be honest.

So I check in Device Manager and it is listed with a problem symbol, as I mentioned it “fails to start”, so I then click on it and go to update driver. I click to do it manually and eventually “have disk” to the TP folder. It finds the MY12C file happily and updates it. Back to device manager and it is still showing as “won’t start” even after reboot.

So I manually move over the MY12C.sys file to C:/Windows/System32/Drivers. The file is already there, probably due to the installer. I overwrite it anyway. And now the bit that made the biggest difference is manually moving the icnfirmware.sys file from the TP folder to C:/Windows/System32/Drivers.

Reboot and I have perfectly calibrated touchscreen. I have been playing with the thing for hours but would have never  gotten anywhere unless I saw this thread. If I didn’t know about these newer hardware changes and updated drivers I would still be banging my head against the wall.

Big thanks to all that have contributed, especially the OP and site owner!

Actually I say fully working but I haven’t addressed the Gyro/camera and such. I just have what I need to work but I can explore further.
