Hi I would go for the Chuwi Vi10, if you must write down notes then you can’t beat the Vi10 with its decent physical keyboard. I found typing on the X98Air is fine, but only sort term. Touchscreen typing can be a bit of a nightmare personally, I find I have so many typos I just give up at times.
Neither of these tablets has stylus support. Only the i7 Stylus by Cube does, but it’s about $350. So over your budget.
Battery life is similar on both, about 7:00 on the X98 and 6-6:30 on the Chuwi
