No one would have thought that one spring night could divide the lives of millions of people into “before” and “after”. A powerful explosion that thundered at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant destroyed the fourth power unit. Tons of radioactive particles were thrown into the air, spreading even beyond the Arctic Circle in a matter of days. Despite the fact that the population was evacuated from the surrounding area shortly after the disaster, the scale of the accident was hushed up. Once I saw a photo on the Internet of Chernobyl and noticed that there were buildings without windows, dismantled cars and the like. It was strange for me. And at first I didn’t believe it.
