In audio settings I ~disabled~ the EQ and the sound got significantly louder. I also raised the volume of the mic. The mic itself is fine, it’s just set waaaay to low by default.

The one Skype call I tried it with she could hear me but I couldn’t hear her. ??? Didn’t take the time then to sort it out and just switched to a machine I know worked… but my mic was apparently working ok.

    Here you go.

Long press speaker/volume icon in task bar tray and select “playback devices”. Double click “speakers” to bring up their properties. Image shows where to find the system effects settings.

Disabling system effects made the tablet louder but it still isn’t loud.
