Hi, that slot was for an M.2 LTE/3G modem I think but later they did not configure the tablet with a modem for some unknown reason? (Cost?). The bios might only support certain modem brands like Huawei.

I had this exact same issue with a Dell Venue 11 Pro, I added a 2242 M.2 and it didn’t work. Later it seems only modems would work in the slot. This was due to the Dell bios, so it looks like your going to need a bios update or hack to get it to work sorry.

I tried to no avail… I guess it’s like Chris said above, not for a hard drive… Just accessories.

how is your Emmc dead? You try downloading Windows on a sub and re-installing?

Is that what happens when you try to get into the bios?

Maybe open the bottom and disconnect the battery? Maybe that could reset the bios?

I dont know without seeing and knowing what you’re doing or what you did to delete it…

Thx for the tip,  will try tonight. This is when I start the voyo, when I get into the bios, I can’t find any storage except the sdcard… That,’s why I thought my emmc is dead.

Hi to all, news about my voyo :

Tried to repair windows, miracle emmc is not dead, but with the fix no more touch, wifi and sound.

It semms weird that a windows crash block my Voyo  at the uefi screen…

fresh installation with all the drivers backup but no wifi working, but on the voyo website, a fix from the 23 march will revive my wifi.

    thx for your help.

BTW : Opened the voyo to see the port, i think it’s a msata port and not a m2.

It’s not a msata. Too big. I’ve tried an m.2 and it fits, just won’t recognize it. A mod on here said it was originally for the 3G modem. It can be used for accessories and not hdd.

But the pins doesn’t match with a M2 no ? I mean the 6 pins on the right.

Trust me. I bought both versions of m.2 and it’s the b-key old style ones with 6 pins. Msata is way to big.

    Thx for your answer.

Sorry wasn’t really aware of the size of Msata, after that check for Mpcie etc etc but if you tried B Slot M2 no more hope.

That’s too bad but now i know my emmc is not dead anymore, so it’s ok.

Btw, Did someone tried a linux on the voyo ?
