I managed to find this:
A quick video to show what you need to reflash bios on corrupt tablets.
however I have not been able to find a winbond chip inside the voyo, I am currently at work, so I will have a second look at some point just to verify. I would like to know if anyone knows if the method in the videos will work for a non-winbond chip.

Another Update, Through this forum post:
I have figured out my Firmware/BIOS chipset, next thing to figure out is how to get a full working image of the firmware, I doubt anyone will offer up an image at this point, but I am still posting here to help anyone else that “Bricks” their Voyo V3 Ultrabook. I can offer any drivers that anyone on here might want.

http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/107442-bios-reset-help/
https://www.bios-mods.com/tools/index.php?dir=Andy+P+(MDL)+Phoenix-Insyde-EFI+SLIC+Tool%2F
as I said, I doubt these will work for my scenario, but worth a shot regardless.
September 11, 2016 at 6:01 pm #49472Found more info that may or may not work, Ill post the links for any that are interested.
the foot notes are:
figure out the name the Insyde H2O file needs to be (*.BIN) and try booting while holding (not pressing repeatedly):
Win+B or FN+Esc when you turn the power on, Ill report back what, if anything, works for me.
September 12, 2016 at 12:52 pm #49576ok, yet another update
Tried all the various key combos that I could find, nothing seemed to get to a point of recovering the firmware, 2 of the combos seemed to do something judging from the USB light I have plugged in the other port so I can see if theres anything at all going on. I am still waiting on the programmers to arrive but the tracking info says early to mid next month
September 13, 2016 at 10:25 pm #49704Last update till my programmer comes in, Ive tried every combo I came across on google, with and without a USB and just got nowhere, USB never flashed to indicate it was being accessed, keyboard and screen never flashed or anything, so at this point I am quite literally at a dead end. I know the board isnt completely dead cause it does still charge the battery and power a USB light, so unless someone can suggest something to try for me, I will have to wait till the programmer comes in and then go from there. I have what I believe is the firmware file already, but I wont know until I dump my current firmware to compare sizes. So till then, Ill be lurking but not really contributing unless its something I can help with.
September 16, 2016 at 9:34 pm #49931For anyone following this post, I found that I could use a raspberry pi for programing (currently own 2) however I would need to get the line converter to drop voltage from 3.3VDC to 1.6-2.0VDC so as to not fry/destroy the firmware chip. I will obviously share any requested information with anyone who asks, however I will post a full stock recover USB image with the MD5SUM (since win 10 now has bash from linux) to verify the download is good.
September 20, 2016 at 5:27 pm #50280Finally posted my unbox video, I will do a video on flashing the UEFI chip as well as re-installing Win 10, Ill do an android one eventually, if anyone wants to know anything else about these ultrabooks just post it here and Ill get back to ya about it.
September 25, 2016 at 2:36 am #50545Update for anyone following along, just waiting on the SOIC8 clip since I have no desire to solder leads or remove the BIOS/EFI chip, should have that in the next couple days. Ill post my results here and if succesful, I will start looking into a dual boot setup using the a1 as a template. If anyone wants files or more info just ask.
September 26, 2016 at 8:05 pm #50820Update: I got the final piece I needed to re-program the UEFI, after a slight learning curve, my v3 ultrabook is working again with factory firmware. I will now start working on that OS restore how-to
April 9, 2019 at 3:02 am #151134Hello Richard,
I bought a voyo vbook v3 pro, and after i few days my laptop didn’t back from hibernate mode. So i disconnected the battery fron bios. After that my computer wifi disappered. I run the ios imagen from service voyo website and also the bios update and factory settings, also from voyo service website, but nothing changed. My pc was working fine but with an additional usb wifi.
After that i bought a 128gb rom and plugged in, so guess what…my integrated wifi card came back, and also the additional rom memory, but my ram decrease from 8 to 2gb. I did the same bios factory settings, bios update software and ios imagen + drivers but still the same: only 2gb ram.
do you have any suggestion?
Thank you. Xavier
November 27, 2025 at 8:56 pm #246481Good day to all the traders out there! I subscribed to a tech newsletter in Ottawa and saw a feature on the Money and Youth Crypto Platform https://moneyandyouth.net/ . I was skeptical, but the AI trading pitch hooked me. I put in my last spare cash, expecting the worst. Instead, it actually multiplied. It’s a huge relief to find something that doesn’t just eat fees but generates real returns in the Canadian market.
