Looks interesting, Voyo products do put me off, I hope they have improved. But it has a 3:2 aspect ratio fully laminated high res screen, that I like and the 8GB of RAM and 128GB M.2 SSD. I might just buy one to review. But would love to see a vide of it first before forking out the cash.
There is also an i7 version with the 7500U and yes it will be fan cooled at 15W

I’m very interested in the performance of the stylus, so I might buy the i8 Plus Android device to see what that feels like. I like to draw and paint digitally (there’s a painting app called Rebelle that processes the physics of watercolour, the virtual paint bleeds through virtual art paper. Like wow, man) but my budget doesn’t stretch to a high-end Surface variant, or even an Eve V (a Finnish crowdfund startup that offers a Surface Pro/Asus Transformer 3-like tablet with the best specs about 20%-25% less than Surface Pro prices), and even though I laugh at myself for thinking that there’ll be difference that I can feel between 256 levels and 2048 levels, we’ve got to make decisions on specification and hope that reality matches up. If this Voyo doesn’t come back, there’s a company here that sells a variant of Chuwi Hi13 with N4200 and 3G/4G.
What part of NZ are you from? I’m Oz/kiwi dualie in Sydney since the 1970s, a granddad but still passionate about new kit.
March 6, 2018 at 12:09 am #137679I saw it listed here on Geekbuying the Voyo i7 Plus seems a little different.
You really never know what these machines are like to you get them in hand, on paper they can seem fantastic for the price. But what you get often can be a lemon and more so from Voyo.
I’m from Auckland.

The “i7” model has an i7 CPU, the “i5” has a Pentium?). It gives a shipping date, which might be true or not, but it’s some sort of indicator, and that page implies that it’s got faster charging through USB-C too.
March 6, 2018 at 4:22 pm #140316Still a lot of cash for a Voyo $699 USD. I’m going to hold off on it. Maybe get the i5 model first if I was to risk it!
