    I don’t know where the path for the file is. How do I look for it?

    I went to the details of the Threat and it just shows the affected items (with out quotations):

    “file: E:\sources\$OEM$\$$\SETUP\SCRIPTS\[email protected]”

    “file: E:\sources\$OEM$\$1\Users\Public\Desktop\Aktivator!!!\[email protected]”

     

    FYI I don’t have an “E:” drive on my Tablet. So I’m guessing that is from the image (which I download from the Microsoft Website).

    hmmm dont know. maybe av creates drive for quarantee files.

    i have no desktop folder at publoc.

    what av are you using? i guess its no harm to put it in quarantine, you should always be able to un-quarantine it

    I haven’t install anything yet, just allowing Windows Defender do its thing.

    “R@in” relates to hackers software that fakes a windows licence key in order to be activated and receive updates ie youve received an illegal copy of windows

    You gotta be kidding me… CHUWI is using an illegal Hacked Windows Copy???!!!!

    What can I do about this? Should I take this up to Chuwi directly? or to the supplier (GearBest)?

    If Windows were to judge that my Tablet indeed does have an illegal copy of Windows, and block future updates to me… What can I do?

    Thread path was funny.  If you are using only windows defender. Are you sure your image was from Microsoft? :).

    I don’t belive they are using hacked Windows, since there is already windows key in bios acpi msdn tabel

    That’s what I thought, but I still went ahead and “Quarantined” the threat… So far no problems yet with my Activation.

    Btw,  do we have windows licence key somewhere else than in Windows itself?  In chuwi packet or inside manual?
