I purchased two of these POS a little over a year ago. One for a friend and one for me. One of them arrived DOA (my friends) and mine eventually had a power port failure like many others are experiencing.
My friend was too embarrassed to say anything so by the time we notified gearbest the only thing they would do is send a refurbished unit. Their idea of refurbished is one that is scratched both front and back and looks like crap.
Mine came with a 5 volt power adapter that took me awhile and several communications with Gearbest to figure out what was wrong.
The real problem is my returned unit came installed in Chinese. I was able to add english as a language but that still does solve the the problem with chinese being the predominant language displayed.
Please if someone could please direct me to a youtube video or forum thread that addresses the best way to solve this problem. I’ve seen some who have simply reinstalled a new version of windows and then indicate that some the drivers never worked right. I think others have installed an English language pack.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. In the future I’ll stick with Chuwi. I’ve had much better luck with their tablets.
Thanks

I order over 3 of them and not one had any issues on arrival, but it’s down to luck. My last i7 Book I did a new Windows 10 install and then in the driver’s section restore the drives. No issues as far as I remember, but that was a while ago.
Might be the easier option for you. Just remember when you create a USB pen drive from the Media Creator for Windows 10. Choose to install Single language Windows 10 Home. Then the license embedded in the bios will work fine and activate.

I still don’t like the charging port. I wish it could be charged via the usb port.
