Hi, I bought a Chuwi HI12 but the touch screen is very awful… For me a good touch screen with a good response is compulsory. I read the Teclast x98 plus’s touch screen was very bad. What about the teclast x98 pro ? Is someone could make a quick video on android (easy to find a touch screen test app) or windows 10 ? I am looking for a 12″ windows10 tablet but I might be satisfied with the x98 pro if the touchscreen is good. (for me the ipad’s touchscreen is the best) Thank you very much.
It isn’t very good. It’s okay but not up to ipad standards. I have limited experience with chinese tablets but I expect most of them to be pretty poor. To get something with ipad quality you will probably have to spend a similar amount of money e.g. Surface 3 (saying that chris seems to like the cube i9 so maybe that’s an option)
The Touch controller inside the Cube i7 Stylus and Cube i9 is from FocalTech, while most others using a controller from Goodix.
I had various devices with a Goodix controller, they varied from acceptable to sluggish and sketchy.
The FocalTech controller on the Cube devices are very decent, fluent and accurate.
On a ranking for chinese touchscreen controller quality it would be:
1. FocalTech
2. Silead
3. Goodix
Ok, that’s bad, it was like this for Chinese phones before… now it’s much better. I hope they’ll understand a good touch screen sensitivity is important.
