What are the negatives or downsides of rooting an Android tablet?

Are there any negatives other than possibly voiding the manufacturer’s warranty? If there are no other negatives than voiding the warranty, and you  are fairly sure of this, please answer that way and what you are basing your answer upon.

You can ending up briking your device, it was a soft-brik and I could save it, it happened to me once… but afaik it’s rare.

Main negative would be that it will give a free pass to malware, so be really wary of what APK you install after rooting.
