I resold a couple a while back (September 2017) and they were $399 for some reason the prices have gone up a lot. I would have thought it would drop more as a Mi Drone 4k V2 could be coming or a DJI Mavic Pro foldable type clone.

The best price I’ve found is $419 here this is with coupon XMD4K12 I’ve been waiting for it to drop to $399 or less again to resell a few on the side but that hasn’t happened.

Thank you Chris, that does shave a few bucks off. While that is $533 CAD they do charge for $29 shipping and only send the EU plug. Still that is a better deal than there is anywhere else.

Can you confirm the plug is of a standard type that I could swap out for a North American style one? None of the photos of the accessories are very clear, but it looks like a simple affair.

The information that there is a V2 and/or a foldable Mavic clone possible is the kind of thing I was wondering, even if I’d didn’t specifically know… thanks a bunch.

I’d be putting you on my Christmas card list – if I had such a thing.

    Thanks again

    Sincerely -Kris

Hi, The plug is easy to replace with a US-style one or an adaptor even. It’s a very common figure 8 plug. Like the mickey mouse one without earth.

I regret selling my drone to get the DJI Spark. Wish I still had it. Amazing drone for the price. I just got my Mavic Air so hope to have a review of that up next week or whenever the weather clears up.

Hi Chris, that is what I expected (Re; the plug). I have a bunch of those kicking about.

I just now bit the bullet and went for it! Thank you so much for the coupon, I ordered a Fimi monopod to extend the functionality of the camera along with the Mi Drone.

I also have been trying to drop a couple bucks for TechTablets through PayPay, but can’t figure out how. Any options in Paypal ask for a phone # or email. I really appreciate the work you do and use TechTablets on a regular basis.

Once logging into PayPal and clicking ‘Donate’ on the ‘support-us’ page, I’m in my main account and click ‘Send Money’ both options available ask for ‘Email address, phone number or name’.

I want to support the community, perhaps I’m showing my age and it’s easy for anyone under 40 to do. When you have time perhaps you can help or point me to instructions that may already be posted here.

    thanks

    Kris

I need to followup on this thread because I’ve got the goods now and I’m fairly impressed (with Xiaomi AND GearBest). Due to the Chinese New Year, my package sat for two weeks untouched. I had planned to purchase from Banggood this time because I had one or two less than stellar transactions with GB. However the prices rose daily and instead of purchasing, I began kicking myself for not taking the plunge when the prices were actually quite a large amount less. That’s when I reached out here.

Chris G. – the stand-up guy he is, offered a great coupon which brought the price into my range. Without too much hesitation I ordered the Mi Drone 4K along with the protective blade guards as well as the Gimbal handle.

I expected all this to arrive with the sun another month down the road. I was delighted to find that, not only was it fast, DHL didn’t hold it hostage (avoided the US I guess).

All told I am really digging the gear, but have one issue. Connecting to the WiFi is not working correctly. I get the error ‘please connect to relay WiFi’

I have an old Xperia that does connect to the gimbal handle, but not to the RC unit.

My Axon 7 won’t even do that. Plugging in the USB tethering option works fine however, well enough that in my upstairs studio it manages to get a strong connection to GPS having left the props off I had an “All systems are go!” moment.

Does anyone know how to get beyond the WiFi connection issues I am having? I’ve seen others on other forums asking the same question but the answers simply aren’t there.

BTW, I’ve read some people wondering what comes with the unit re: USB or WiFi dongle, blade guards etc.

    At this time, GearBest lists their contents as including  1 x Quadcopter ( Battery Included ), 1 x Transmitter, 1 x Camera, 1 x Charger, 1 x English Manual.

    What I received was not quite the same;

No instructions whatsoever (oops, correction. I did receive a well laid out, though slightly breifer version of the English language manual which I had downloaded and printed needlessly)

    WiFi Dongle

    USB Dongle

North American plug battery charger. I fully expected otherwise as I thought I saw it listed as a CN plug.

To wrap up – very happy with it. Anxious for better weather, hoping to overcome this WiFi bug soon.

    Thank you Chris for your help purchasing this- I must reiterate that supporting this site is important, I’ve tried however and clicking the Paypal donate buttons only take me to PayPal – no specifics on the recipient are shown and the transaction stalls. Help me help you :-}

    Sincerely

    Kris B.

I believe I have solved this issue. Once I turned off the phone’s data the connection went smoothly and quickly. I also turned data back of afterward without apparently disrupting the connection. I have yet to fly, because of the cold, but in the upstairs room I call my studio it does connect to GPS and tells me it can take off.

Thanks so much for your time.

    Kris

PS; I may better serve the community by posting this issue in a new post with proper description in subject heading.

Was going to reply yesterday, but glad to see you fixed that issue you were having. Never had such issue on my unit. But I’m sure I never ran it on data when out flying.

Let us know how the first flight goes.

Good afternoon, but I do not agree with all that there are the cheapest prices! That’s specially found a comparison of prices in all Chinese stores and there is also cheaper than it was stated above!
