Hi all,
I figured it out myself – I wiped the ‘System’ partition through TWRP and re-flashed the ROM using ‘Phone Flash Tool’. Following that am able to use OTA update without error.
Cheers,
OD
September 14, 2017 at 8:21 pm #72136Sorry, I don’t know where to get those. I just reinstalled and applied OTA. Custom gpt.bin is really useful though, I shrank my Android partition to 10GB and gave the space to Windows. I can share that file if you want. https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/where-to-find-tbook-16-power-firmware-m5f8/#post-70301
Oh that’s cool, shrinking it down… Thank you for that.. i just may consider that.. if anything, i’d want more with it… I was able to download the v1.06 firmware (using tampermonkey and a script to bypass login info on baidu)… so i’ll have to give this a shot. How difficult was it for you to reapply the bootloader OS chooser? Thanks.
Here you go: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1aujfdH5b4EWk5qam1Dajlvd0U The OS chooser was easy to restore once you find this: https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/tbook-16-power-no-os-selection-screen-on-boot/#post-68352
Thank you for those… Hopefully i can get back to that point. Right now, i’m trying to restore the tablet so that i can get into android… unfortunately the bios just continues to come back up. The only Boot Option i have is the UEFI: Built-in EFI Shell. I don’t see the internal hard drive anywhere as a choice… Any ideas?
Unfortunately, no. I don’t think you can flash the firmware without at least booting into Android recovery.
In your case, it could be a BIOS problem, but I think the internal drive or flash memory may be corrupted. Could even be hardware failure.
Looking at your thread, it’s over my head… So I cannot help you there. Sorry.

I too thought the same thing with the internal drive or flash memory… I’m not getting any help from teclast or gearbest (as i’ve had a lot of issues with this device since i got it)…
Looks like i may have to open it up myself and figure it out.
No problem, thank you for your thoughts…

I have a problem after trying to install from scratch Windows 10 the Tbook does not turn on in dual boot and an error occurs (Attach Photo).
The partition where Windows resides is gone and has not allowed me to install a new one. The recovery partitions and Android were only integrating that of 31 gb I touched.
How can I do a little bit of going back to the initial setup?
Thank you.

You can go back to Android and flash again. This time choose “clean” under configuration (or whatever it’s called that’s not “update”). Your Android installation will be reset to default, but so will the entire drive. You can also try the custom gpt.bin I’ve linked before to shrink Android to ~10GB.
Then you can put Windows on the USB drives again, just in case. After you install Android and connect the USB drives, there should be a Windows install option in your white boot menu. Lastly, take a look at this.

September 23, 2017 at 9:11 am #72527Thank you for the reply.
Explain better, the white screen does not come out with the choice of android or windows, it goes directly to the attached file first. To enter the android press the power and volume button, after the reboot enters the android.
For installation from usb only find fat32, if I put the iso image of windows 10, format the key in ntfs and the teclast does not work.
Come on?

I tried resetting from android, but nothing.
No boot screen. Android works, windows instead uses a blue screen with that error.
I do not find any programs to put on fat32 usb through boot syslinux and start the command prompt then go to the Windows 10 installation files and start the recovery or find a way to reinstall it on that partition.
sorry for the translation

September 28, 2017 at 11:08 am #72757Hello,
I update you: via a boot disk I managed to recover partitions including that of android, except that of windows.
Problem: I can not install windows 10 x64 on the free partition. Disk GPT.
Error: Could not create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the installer files.
I attach photo.
Error2: the drive where windows is installed is locked unlock the drive and try again.

Unfortunately I could not enter the android os again and I wanted to restore so I downloaded phone flash and the (M5F8) and follow the instructions and it was successful on installation. After this I observed that I cannot boot in to windows again and have tried every option even to create and boot from usb I got stop message. Secondly what I discover was that on the bios boot menu there was no windows boot manager pls what can I do to get this resolved thanks.
