wifi and bluetooth: advice required

In a couple of week I should receive my chuwi hi12.

I read somewhere that BT and Wifi share the same antenna, so using togheter may have some issues.

Since I plan to watch netflix using a BT earphones, I am wondering if I can do that without problems or I need to buy an adapter.

If I need an adapter, what is better to buy?

A Bt adapter which can be smaller and cheaper, or a wifi adapter, which could be bigger but can allow me to have a dual band wifi?

Will they work on both Windows and android, even if plugged in keyboard dock?

I’m actually using a CLS micro bluetooth usb adapter, which was laying around, and works fine but of course I had to disable the onboard bluetooth chip.

If you have AC wireless at home I recommend you to buy a usb wifi AC adapter. BUT you want to buy something as small as possible since if the tablet falls down on the side of usb port and you have a stick 20cm long on there, I don’t think the usb port will be happy 🙂

I got this Wifi USB key from Aliexpress.
Not using bluetooth on a daily basis, but the slow wifi is a pain sometimes. With this one I can get 100/100mpbs on my home network without problem, much better than the 30-40mpbs I get with the internal wifi.

Works fine with Win10 (you need to install the drivers, otherwise it only works with 2.4ghz).
It doesn’t work on Android by default, I haven’t looked into that, seems like you may need to compile drivers, I have no experience in this.

seems a nice device.. as small as a cheap bt adapter…

but without any adapter, i netflix with a BT earphone usable or not?

Netflix is useable with the internal wifi. I watch netflix (HD) with a pair of mpow swifts.

I also have the same USB AC dongle – speeds do improve.

No sorry it doesn’t work on android as you need driver which is only available for windows
