Will the Gemini Lake CPUs' perform almost the same as the core M3 7th ?

After watching some reviews of the nucs with the new Gemini lake’s cpus, the quad core is almost near the performance of the 2016 Intel core M cpus.

Intel’s Atom chips have come a long way since, apart from HDR the latest generation seems to be a good jump in performance. At least in some benchmarks.
