Hi Eko
Even though I have not researched about getting the original rom back, why would you want it? My A6C9 stock was laggier than Mirek’s rom.
This is my weekend (just got off from work and have 2 days :p) and I MIGHT fiddle with stock rom stuff…eventhough my Teclast X98 Plus 3g and Air 3g are working fine with Mirek roms :p
June 18, 2016 at 4:45 pm #41410Hi Atomic Tofu
I’m hearing a lot of horrer stories, but my issues arent major.
- Battery usage information unavailabe
- App overview button sometimes shows a thumbnail of ghost app that isnt there when clicked.
- Boot to windows from andriod sometimes doesnt display keyboard to sign in, and a lot of the time just loops windows boot.
- Tablet hardly charges while in use, really slowly in idle, and takes a long time to charge even when switched off.
Some, if not all my issue are probably to do with teclasts design, but I’m hoping that Teclast might at some point release an update to fix issues, and I’m basically clueless about flashing ROMs, so it’s probably better if I just stick to using the inbuild teclast update tools that came with the device.
Teclast have released new firmware; https://mega.nz/#!m9ZBQb5Q!eirna9y5Hb0g6cUGjFVSHpKuqAKmTAKI6Lg54b_SQYc I’d like to try it, but I don’t really understand how installing it on the current custom ROM will effect the device, and when I tried i just got an error saying flash failed.
Theres no guarantee of future support for for a custom ROM, which makes me nervous, and I’ve been seeing a lot of A6C9 horrer stories – so I would really like to fully understand how to get the device back to its orginal state just in case.
Mirek’s ROM hasn’t caused me any major issues, but If (big if) I do get my head around flashing ROMs I might want to try a different custom at some point, so again, it would be good to know how to get the device back to it’s orginal state.
Also the issue keeps coming up on this forum.. and this is the closest I’ve found to a user guide for my device/ It would be great to have section dedicated to x98+ recovery. That way experianced people won’t have to keep answering what are probably silly questions.
That’s my reasoning.. Can you help a brother out?
June 19, 2016 at 12:03 am #41429You have answers in my thread. How old are this firmware? Maybe ill try it for you since my tablet already fuxxed up <!–more–>
June 19, 2016 at 2:34 am #41433Hi Torbjorn,
Firmware. https://1drv.ms/f/s!As68zletRjuvtBiMFWe_PHrEnd9B I guess the X98 Plus 3G A6C9 Android5.1-V1.04 is about a week old.
OS. https://1drv.ms/f/s!As68zletRjuvtBcVMelMhipSOBUG
Drivers. https://1drv.ms/f/s!As68zletRjuvsR5jGQ4AWzScHa4W
Also a few weeks ago I had someone from microsoft access my tablet remotely to fix the issue I was having with upgrading. They created an exe setup/upgrade file that fixed my issues with windows updates. I’ll post that here once its uploaded.
let me know how it works out
June 19, 2016 at 6:50 am #41439Going to take a chance for Eko…wish me luck…attempting to reset A6C9 from Mirek rom to “stock”….
It’s a good thing I have a desktop and laptop to play with if the Teclast dies :p
June 19, 2016 at 7:09 am #41440yay…this is a pseudo stock rom 😉
June 19, 2016 at 7:14 am #41441Eko and all, this was fairly easy, basing off of X98_PLUS_3G_(A6C9)_android_5.1_mirek190_v3.0
I analyzed what was included…I’m a PC guy who did low level hacking for enjoyment back in the day, ie., config.sys, autoexec.bat…
Then I went onto mess around with Cyanogenmod when I had an old HP Touchpad….
So…not too bad. I simply downloaded X98 Plus 3G (A6C9)-双系统-Android5.1-V1.04版固件
I then copied and pasted the data and partitions folder from Mirek’s setup, along with the flasherXXX.bat, and renamed all the V1.04 files under whatever singular folder as rom, and ran the bat….
I say pseudo stock because I chose to keep my old apps (which you shouldn’t do, and I think I kept my altered partitions)
Works :p
June 19, 2016 at 7:17 am #41442That’s sounds good!
how have you done it?
dual boot and windows are both ok?
Thanks
Roberto
June 19, 2016 at 7:28 am #41443dual boot, windows 10, sd card with 64gb is seen in both environments and cameras work…but my cameras never did not work and my sd card always worked…I understand sometimes they do use different compoenents…but they have always worked for me 🙂
Have you downloaded Mirek’s A6C9 rom Roberto?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2198172
I downloaded the bottom most link:
TECLAST x98plus/3G:
Android 5.1 v3.0
Leads to http://forum.xda-developers.com/x98-air/development/x98plusandroid5-1mirek190v1-0-rom-t3342466/post65975941#post65975941I then obtained the X98 Plus 3G (A6C9)-双系统-Android5.1-V1.04版固件 from I believe Rogodra provided?:EDIT: the one thing I haven’t been able to test is the 3g since although I purchased tablets with them, I don’t really use it. So I don’t know what brands or sims I can use to test. I live in the US. If someone can suggest a cheap 3g sim I can use to test funcationality, please do. 😉June 19, 2016 at 10:43 am #41461Dude you are a legend!
I have a few questions though..
Can you walk me through? Literally step by step.
Like;
Step 1) Downloaded and install Mireks A6C9 Flash files and drivers
Step 2) Download and unpack X98 Plus 3G (A6C9)-双系统-Android5.1-V1.04版固件
<hr />
Step 3) Which files did you copy? From where to where?
Step 4) Renaming each of the V1.04 files, or just the folder name, or create a new folder?
Step 5) How did you create the .bat?
<hr />
Would the same process work for single boot options as well?
Is it still rooted after using mireks method?
Is there a way to remove the Chinese bloatware while flashing?
June 19, 2016 at 12:14 pm #41467Oy, I was typing so much in Mozilla Firefox then clicked close tab by accident so hopefully I cover the bases again :p
It will become unrooted:

Download and Have:
Mirek rom from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/x98-air/development/x98plusandroid5-1mirek190v1-0-rom-t3342466/post65975941#post65975941
I know links change so I provide the file names
<p class=”uc-warning-subcaption”><span class=”uc-name-size”>X98_PLUS_3G_(A6C9)_android_5.1_mirek190_v3.0.7z</span></p>Obtain the X98 Plus 3G (A6C9)-双系统-Android5.1-V1.04版固件 which I believe Rogodra provided?:Your v1.04 archive should look like this (using Windows 10 64bit and 7zip):

Rename the folder “android” to “rom”Copy from Mirek’s folder the folders “data” and “partition” and the *.bat file “FLASH_tool_Teclast_x98_air_devices-v3.0.bat”:
and paste them into the v1.04 folder to look like:
Then when everything is in place, power off the tablet and put it in DNX mode by pressing “power” and the volume “-+” at once;
connect to PC and double click the *.bat fileselect 1 or 2, I would think 2:
When it’s done, exit the screen with “e” (it will tell you), let the machine reboot and “upgrade” its android files and you should be goodBecause a bat file is used, I’m sure we could edit out the chinese software, but because I’m not an android guy I’m not really familiar with the android commands as I am the old Windows and DOS stuffJune 19, 2016 at 1:30 pm #41469This is great, the only thing is i don’t see FLASH_tool_Teclast_x98_air_devices-v3.0.bat in Mireks download, I have FLASHER_v3.0-(-just_press_twice-) instead.. did you rename the file?
June 19, 2016 at 1:36 pm #41470hmm, if you go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2198172
and download from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/x98-air/development/x98plusandroid5-1mirek190v1-0-rom-t3342466/post65975941#post65975941
https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B8BF9-TGlz-FaHpoM182Ym1aekk&export=download

Eko, you don’t see the same *.bat file? For record again, I’m doing this from a Windows 10, 64bit desktop and using 7zip as my archive manager
June 19, 2016 at 1:58 pm #41471bah, I mixed up the Air 3g with the Plus 3g, should look like this:
June 19, 2016 at 9:32 pm #41492if you want Stock you can just downloads mireks flash tool 1.1 and put the rom files inside a folder called rom and run the flash.
just flashed mine back to 1.04 but still no 3G, no sd and no camera.
