    Hi,

So I have my Chuwi for almost a week now but I am running into some problems.

Yesterday, when I was using android, all of the sudden the WiFi stopped working. When I went to the settings to re-enable it the button would not respond. So I thought I would give it a reboot to see if the problem would fix itself….
Bad luck, because the device went into a bootloop. I could access the recovery but when I was in recovery all the buttons would not respond (Vol+ Vol-) and all I could do it just press the power button to power it off again.

Holding down Vol- when booting let me boot into windows, to check if the WiFi problem would be there (and since windows was the only option I had left since I could not boot into android anymore).

When in windows the wifi adapter was not even installed anymore, while it was working 2 days before that.
Using the driver restore program and uninstalling and trying to reinstall the driver from device manager did not solve it. Now the wireless driver has disappeared entirely.

So a list of my problems and what I have tried:

    • Android is in bootloop
    • WiFi does not work on either android or windows
    • when in recovery the buttons do not respond except for the power button but that will only work when holding it down to power off the device.

    What I tried so far:

    • Going into recovery to try to factory reset (but as stated above I didn’t come very far)
    • Booting windows to see if the WiFi worked there
    • uninstalling windows driver
    • reinstalling it using Doubledrive
    • inserting and extracting the SD card to see if had anything to do with that
    • tried flashing the android rom but the device is not recognized by the Intel flash tool

So please, if you have any time to take a look with me respond to this thread.
Perhaps I am just missing something that I don’t see and you might. We can take a look together and maybe you can walk me through the process of entirely wiping and reinstalling my Chuwi Hi8 tablet.

    Yours sincerely,

    Hubert.

I think you should refound it to a new one…

Thank you for your reply, was indeed thinking of getting in touch with the seller.
