    I just purchase a chowi hi8.

    This chowi hi8 looks nothing like the 3 tablets with win8.1 that I have tried.

    I only need win8.1 for my needs.

    I don’t see a “search” box to find things in the tablet.

    I can’t find the c: drive. I will need to import files from a flash drive to the c: drive.

    I don’t see “My pc”.

    I stopped there because nothing looks the same.

     

    I noticed that most of the people on this forum are very tech savvy and I am not but was going to buy 20 of these units for specialized simple application which I easily put on a Dell Tablet and Winbook.

     

    Am I supposed to do something to this tablet to make it more like other win8.1 tablets?

     

    The “instruction manual” that came with it is a joke.

    I don’t need Android and don’t need win 10.

    I dont have windows 8, but I believe you need to switch modes.  There is a tablet mode and a desktop mode.

    I am the writer of the original question.

    I suspect that this tablet came in the Android mode which is why i i am confused because i have never used an android.

    I am trying to be in the win8.1 mode.

    One responder said that there is a tablet mode (android) and a desktop mode (win8.1) and I should change modes.

    Is this true and how do I get to the win 8.1 mode?
