Windows 10 0% Screen Brightness problem

Hello,

I have the x98 air 3g.

The Tablet came with Windows 10 and Windows Update recently updated / upgraded Windows 10.

After the upgrade I logged in and adjusted the screen brightness.  I did not realize there there was an option for 0% screen brightness and while cycling through the brightness settings (25%, 50%, etc) 0% screen brightness was selected.

The problem is I can no longer see Windows Screens.  

Now, When I reboot the tablet and select Windows at the boot screen,

the screen eventually goes dark, not allowing me to see any windows screens.

 

How can I adjust the screen brightness for Windows when I cannot see the screens to do so?

Any ideas on what I can do to get around this problem?  Safe Mode, adjust in BIOS , recover windows, etc?

 

Please be specific on the steps I need to take to resolve.  I have alot of computer knowledge, but do not

know key sequences, etc on this tablet.

I finally was able to figure out how to put the table into Windows Recovery mode and recovered the stock Windows image from the recovery partition.

I could not figure out any other way to fix this problem.

Why the hell would Microsoft offer a 0% screen brightness option and have no way to recover from a blank screen?

Because 0% cannot turn off the screen it is on maximum dim, not blank screen and it is very useful for night reading, as previous 25% is too bright.

I suspect that you had some issues with drivers or something else to go to blank screen after upgrade…

I have similar problem. Can you please share how did you manage to get it back from 0% to 25?

I know it might look stupid, but next time use a flashlight and put it really close to the screen, you should be able to see (if the tablet is turned on) a really dark image, but that’s normally enough to set the brightness to a higher percentage.
