    same here with the license.

    the tablet sold by gearbest was acivated with a fake serial number.

    i’ve tried to open a ticket without any support for the issue then i decided to buy a legit key on eBay.

    What I've used and what I've got:
    TECLAST X98 AIR 3G, TECLAST X98 AIR II, TECLAST X98 PRO,CHUWI HI8, CHUWI HI12, CUBE I9

    the key used by gearbest is blacklisted so any update mean to control serial could lead to a not activated OS.

    Anyway I was reinstalling the OS (as always as soon as i receive a chinese tablet) and i had to manage this issue.

    Oh, man. Those chinese tablets! We love them, but then they do this to us, sheesh.

    What vendor did you use on Ebay to buy the legit key?  I’d prefer not to get burned…

     

    Edit:  Well, I went and bought a key from Cheapkeysnow.  He sent me the instructions and that worked fine.  Four british pounds for a the pro key,,, not a bad price I suppose.
