Windows 10 upgrade problems

I am trying to upgrade windows 8.1 to windows 10 on my chuwi vi10. It downloads the update file in windows 8.1 and reboots and starts to update to windows 10, when 25% done it stops and restores back to windows 8.1 again. Get the error code 80200056 when I check the windows update log. Searched around but can’t find any good solution for this. Anyone els got this problem or have a solution to fix this?

Same thing happens to me the online upgrade doesn’t work and if you do a clean install you lose the product key and have to buy a licence. Microsoft refuses to accept the clean install. I phone to them explaining that the upgrade does not work but nothing to do.

I found a solution that worked for me. There is a another way to upgrade to Windows 10. Go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install

download the tool and start it, you will get 2 options, one is to upgrade and the other is to make a usb image (in other words clean install) Choose the upgrade option and the tool will start downloading and preparing the installation of Windows 10.  I now have a activated Windows 10 on my chuwi. I think Microsoft only should use this way to upgrade to Windows 10 as the Windows update method seems way to buggy and many people seems to have problem with it. I really hope this will work for you.
