    Hi,

    I saw in the Chinese version of Teclast web site, there is a Download Page from which I can download a “Windows System Install” that contains a install.wim.  Is it the OS that has built-in Product Key?

    I want to do a bios re-flash, dual system firmware update etc. but I worry if I do something wrong, I need to reinstall Windows from scratch.  I do have a retail version of Windows but (1) it is used by another PC and (2) it is a 64-bit version.  So I want to know if I can just use that install.wim to re-install Windows, without being asked for a Product Key to activate the OS.

    Also, is it true that if I want to get rid of those Android bloatware, I must use a custom ROM?  And to use a custom ROM I must root the device?

    Hi,

    The key is in the bios. But there have been a few examples on XDA of it being wiped when flashed. (Maybe just from a brick, not 100% sure)

    If you flash Mirek190s rom make sure you uses the options that don’t repartition everything, that will wipe Windows.

    As for the bloat you can root the tablet and use an app like titanium backup to remove the bloat.
