Windows re-install necessary?

Couple of questions:

With a recently bought Hi12 (in favour over a Hi13) is it still necessary – or desirable even – to reinstall Windows from scratch? And would the package available on this site still be the correct way to go?

Also, there seems to be lot of confusion on different forums regarding the suitability of the HiPen 3 for Hi12 use and there is also mention of a HiPen 3 sticker on the back of recent Hi12 models… (Mine’s not arrived yet so can’t comment….)

Any thoughts?
