Another nuisance I’m finding is that Windows doesn’t shutdown gracefully. After a minute, the tablet turns on again and when it enters Windows, I see that the WiFi device doesn’t appear, so no connectivity… If I shutdown the table again, it shutdowns for good this time.
The next time the tablet turns on, the WiFi device appears correctly.
July 3, 2016 at 4:49 pm #42558Well, I fixed the nuisance… you need to revert back the Realtek WiFi driver to the 2015 version. The WiFi range / speed is still poor though.
July 3, 2016 at 7:09 pm #42562My E3E6 is working without major flaws…
Wifi is ok (not great but ok) and after processing all Windows Updates (including 1511) and using Windows Disk Cleanup aswell as CCleaner I got nearly 5,5GB free on a 19,3GB Partition.
My only small concern is a spot of little light bleed in the bottom left corner, but I think that is totally ok for a 79$ device with that specs…
July 4, 2016 at 6:42 pm #42618The WiFi isn’t ok. It’s unacceptable. Being next to the router yet receiving half of the throughput is a total mess which means you can’t get very far away from the source of WiFi.
Tech reviewers must add a mandatory WiFi test to let people know about this (in line of sight, out of line of sight, near the router, far away the router alongside a device of reference with a known reliable speed test, etc.) There’s no point for Teclast releasing this product like it is by saving money crippling the connectivity of their products, whether Realtek’s the culprit or Teclast with the Wifi antenna / PCB design because clearly the signal to noise ratio is very low. People will certainly pay more if the WiFi connection is better (or at least I will).
July 5, 2016 at 7:19 am #42641Perhaps you should read again – I said MY E3E6s’ Wifi is ok
With “People will” you probably mean “you will”, right? Because I wouldnt pay any more for some unimportant stuff which I dont need at all… basic surfing is fast and smooth for me even in the 2nd Floor (with the router being in the 1st) and thats what matters to me.
July 5, 2016 at 4:20 pm #42693My e3e6’s wifi is garbage (only works in the same room as router), will pay more for wifi same as chuwi hi10, don’t recommend this tablet!
July 6, 2016 at 4:10 pm #42766I fully agree. The wifi problems make this tablet practically useless. Totally regret not getting a new Chuwi Hi8 instead which worked so much faster and better than the X80 Pro.
