Hi There,
I bought my 64gb Teclast X98 Air 3g from Gearbest just before Xmas while they had some good specials. I made sure I picked the w10 & Android 5 option as I wasn’t looking to do the firmware upgrade myself. When I got it, there were a couple of OTA updates available in the Teclast OTA app, which I did and they worked ok. The latest update (which has been there for a while) says:
Updates 01
- Solving probability problems not recognising the SIM card
It downloads fine, and when I try update if seems to fail – looks like the downloaded update is not match the model? I am also noticing the OTA update shows my tablet as the X98 Plus – I am not sure if that is correct.
I have also noticed there is a guide to updating the dual boot rom to v2.02. When I check my settings and about tablet, it says:
Build number:
V2.01_20150720
Baseband Version
H350_V3H.20.06
Kernel version
3.10.2
Any help will be appreciated.
I am also attaching some screenshots of the update process if that helps.

March 14, 2016 at 8:23 am #29287I have the same problem. Update will beessential, since Android can’t use aim card now (win10 has no problem with sim card).

Where did you buy yours from? Can you contact the vendor?
I got mine from Gearbest and I have contacted their support – so far it isn’t going too well and trying to explain the issue is providing quite difficult.
