Try first opening it up with a plastic pry tool at the top, just pry it open there and work your way around. I used a credit card. The trick is to take your time and do it very slowly. I found I could open it there as I did do my own heat sink mod on my unit. It opens up just like the X98 Air 3G/ Air II and Air III.
