I have been trying to download it for the past few days, but I keep running into problems.  Either the file wont download, OneDrive blocks the download because the user has exceeded their bandwidth, or one of the RAR files is corrupt.  OneDrive gives me cancer.  Google Drive would be so much better.  Has anybody been able to successfully download it yet?

It’s not a new firmware, it’s the same as we already have (Android 1.05 and Win10 20160620)

Which cable should I use to flash new firmware?

Should I use the supplied OTG cable plus a standard USB M-M cable or should I use the supplied standard USB cable?

My PC doesn’t detect the Teclast X98 Plus II (C2D4) when I use the OTG cable along with a powered USB hub.

I can’t easily swap cables because my tablet is installed in the dash of my vehicle (totally captive).

I don’t want to rip into the vehicle to try a different cabling setup unless I am relatively certain that cabling is the problem.

So if anyone has an idea about this subject, it would certainly be appreciated.

I just used the cable I usually employ to charge or connect my mobile to the computer. I connected this cable from the tablet to the computer, and then flashed it without problems.

It’s not an OTG cable, but a simple USB – microUSB cable.

I am fairly convinced that since the OTG cable won’t work for flashing firmware as it is forcing the tablet into host mode.

I’ll try with the standard cable.

    Thanks for the response.

Wifi range is poor in both Plus & Plus II models, as I’ve read at some forums. I own a Plus II model, and didn’t notice any issue about this, but muy router is pretty near (about 10m.). Anyway, if you will work far away from your router or you need good WiFi range, it would be better for you to choose another model, in my opinion.
