When I upgraded my dual-boot Plus II, I used the Media Creation Tool method (an in-place upgrade) to work around the storage space limitation (instead of re-partitioning or USB drive).
I ended up not able to boot into Google again and subsequently found a work around by booting into fast boot mode then restart. (I did not try the switch exe in Windows as I dont trust it source) It will back to W10 only once I boot into W10. Then I have to repeat the steps.
I read about re-installing the whole damn thing would help, plus I wanted to upgrade the Google firmware, I ended up doing the recovery + USB install of W10. So everything’s back to normal.
The only catch was, when looking at the Teclast W10 image timestamp, I jumped the conclusion of it being the Anniversary edition, which is not true.
Now, with the new Google firmware in place, anyone knows if Anniversary upgrade as I performed above will work this time without compromising dual boot?
@Istvan Perosa how did you do your Anniversary updates exactly? Could Anniversary updates be applied via the USB drive method?
I can certainly just try it myself and report back, but it is a lengthy process with the long lost of use in between, thought I would ask first. While I prefer W10’s versatility, I can settle with Android as my main use of this tablet is reading PDF and write notes… Android is smoother than W10 on that count (probably in general too).
Btw, W10 Anniversary on this new Atom seems not as fast/smooth as my 2013 Dell Venue 8, perhaps a driver-optimization issue.
